Dvojmetrový kúzelník z cirkusu Nový svet bol atrakciou aj mimo predstavenia. Všade kam prišiel, chodili sa naňho pozerať deti aj tí starší. Keďže bol zhovorčivý, odvážili sa mu aj prihovoriť. On rozprával príbehy a dával hádanky.
Vyhĺbil napríklad do zeme 20-centimetrovú dieru. Hodil do nej pingpongovú loptičku a požiadal prítomných, aby ju vytiahli bez toho, aby sa loptičky priamo dotkli, nesmeli tiež použiť palicu, lepiacu pásku ani nič pevné. Mnohí skúšali fúkať, ale diera bola príliš hlboká.

Doma naň hovoril v rôznych jazykoch, no papagáj nezopakoval ani jednu slabiku. Napriek tomu ho nemohol ísť vrátiť, pretože si uvedomil, že obchodník mu vlastne neklamal.

Istá matka porodila za svojho života len jedny dvojčatá. Dvoch chlapcov. Jeden na druhého sa podobali na nerozoznanie, napriek tomu sa každý z nich narodil v inom roku aj v iný deň.

Keď starý bača skončil dennú robotu, sadol si spolu s návštevníkmi salaša k ohňu. Popíjali žinčicu a pozerali na západ slnka. Vtedy sa bača zahľadel do diaľky a dal im takúto hádanku:
"Keď sa zastavíte a pozriete pred seba, vždy ho vidíte. Ak sa ho chcete dotknúť, neucítite ho. Nemôže sa pohnúť, ale vždy keď sa k nemu chcete priblížiť, vzdiali sa od vás. O čom hovorím?"
